A verdade é que depois do dia 17 de dezembro de 2017, data que marcou o maior valor do bitcoin (R$80.000,00) desde sua existência, o bitcoin seguiu em declínio desde então. A queda alimentou explicações e especulações. Considerei todas mas não me convenci. Mas o que é mais preocupante do que a queda no valor da moeda é a queda na sua popularidade e interesse. Não é tão ilógico considerar que o valor é proporcional ao interesse e nesse aspecto o bitcoin perdeu terreno também no interesse do público. O valor não está no preço da coisa mas sim na necessidade e na utilidade que a mesma agrega. E é interessante a sintonia que existe entre as curvas ao longo do tempo no que diz respeito ao "valor" e "interesse do público" com relação ao bitcoin.
Os gráficos abaixo justificam a harmonia. O primeiro apresenta o gráfico da cotação do bitcoin no período de 01/01/2017 a 03/02/2018, apontando a data em que houve o pico na cotação (17/12/2017).
O segundo gráfico, extraído do google, representa a quantidade de acessos sobre o tópico "bitcoins".
O interesse caiu na mesma proporção!

The truth is that after December 17, 2017, the date that marked the highest value of bitcoin since its existence, bitcoin has continued to decline since then. The fall fueled explanations and speculation. I considered them all but I was not convinced. But what is more worrying than the fall in the value of the currency is the fall in its popularity and interest. It is not so illogical to consider that the value is proportional to the interest and in this aspect the bitcoin lost ground also in the interest of the public. The value is not in the price of the thing but in the necessity and utility that it adds. And it is interesting to tune the curves over time in terms of "value" and "public interest" in relation to bitcoin.
The graphics below justify harmony. The first presents the bitcoin quotation graph for the period from 01/01/2017 to 03/02/2018, indicating the date on which the price peak occurred (12/17/2017).
